About Us
Virtual Tapestry are husband and wife team Steven and Linda Marson. We provide a professional, friendly service, creating websites both ourselves and our clients are proud of. We treat our customers the way we would wish to be treated ourselves - fairly, honestly, and efficiently.
What We Do
We learn about what YOU do, who your target audience is, and who your competitors are, and build you a web presence to be proud of. This includes registering good quality domain names (website addresses), creating a bespoke, multi-browser compatible, accessible, search-engine friendly website, and then hosting it on our servers. We also create a basic advertising description and keywords, register your new website with the major search engines, and also list you on appropriate industry-specific and general business and shopping directories.
What We Don't Do
We don't promise an instant, successful website, because in real life success comes in two parts: We will build a solid, professional website that's friendly and usable to both people and search engines, and will give a good base to build on - that's our part, but real success comes from having a good product, effective promotion and marketing, and the drive to succeed - that's your part! Having said that, we're always here to give help and advice when needed. We don't just build the site then abandon you!
Environmental Policy
We run our business the same way we run our home - with as small an ecological footprint as possible. As we are a small business, we are able to work from our home office. This means we only have to heat, light, and service one building, not two, and no fuel is required for us to get there!
We also:
- Use recycled, sustainable, and renewable products whenever possible, including using a green electricity provider, and paper made from recycled or sustainable materials;
- Reduce our energy use where possible, and replace end-of-life equipment with more energy efficient types;
- Reduce our use of resources whenever possible, such as by using electronic communications over paper, and communicating with our clients by telephone or electronically rather than using fuel by travelling to meet them;
- Reuse materials wherever possible, including recycling our waste paper into packaging for our retail business, and building older computer components into new machines, thereby extending their useful life.
